A Broken Wing: Thoughts

Things I learned while camping out on the couch, post-surgery:

  • Seasons 1 and 2 of Downton Abbey are even better the second time around.
  • Why in the world do pharmacists give impossible to open prescription bottles?
  • I really do love yoga pants. A lot.
  • Pre-cast, my arm looked like Dumbledore’s hand after being poisoned by a horcrux. << Geek alert.
  • I’ve consumed enough tea to keep the industry alive and kickin’ for quite awhile.

I’m sure I’ll have many more useless observations while wandering around with a cast for the next weeks. Bear with me.

Zealand!

In the past month, I’ve:

  1. Purchased, and moved into, an adorable house.
  2. Married the one-and-only Stranded Dog.
  3. Welcomed a new puppy to our little home in Newmarket!

ImageThis sweet girl is a lab/collie/boxer/pittbull/something mutt-mix from South Carolina, and we’re in love. She adores chasing grasshoppers, snuggling with her stuffed octopus (his name is Charlie), and giving kisses. She’s also great at exploring – the photo above was taken at the top of Cathedral Ledge in Conway. She’s not a climber yet, but we’re getting there.

A big thank you to the Manchester Animal Shelter for helping us find Zealand! This wonderful shelter does amazing work and deserves your support – whatever it may be!
